The race is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4 and will pit the two athletes against each other. Citius Magazine shared a poll asking who has a better chance of walking away with the title.

American sprint legend reflects on decade-long journey to smash elusive 400m World Record
The legendary American sprinter has shared his intense quest to break a long-standing world sprint record at age 32.
After the poll was completed, Citius Magazine shared the results, noting that 54% of the people believe the pole vault world record holder will win the race as they ruled out the men’s 400m hurdles record holder.
“In a poll of 2,600+ people…54% of people believe pole vault Olympic champion and world record holder Mondo Duplantis would beat 400m hurdles Olympic silver medalist and world record holder Karsten Warholm in their upcoming 100m race in Zurich,” they shared a post on X.
However, four-time Olympic champion Johnson believes that Warholm is the one to take the top prize home. Reacting to the post by Citius Magazine, Johnsons decisively said: “54% of people are wrong.”

Duplantis and Warholm both enjoyed the Olympic Games campaign with the former winning the pole vault title in a new world record. Warholm failed to defend his title in the men’s 400m hurdles but finished an impressive second behind Rai Benjamin.
The event will be a rare outing for both Duplantis and Warholm but it will not be their first time racing over the short distance. Warholm last raced the 100m, as documented on paper, back in 2017 where he timed 10.49 seconds.

The Norwegian star was no fluke as he shattered the meeting record to win the men's 400m Hurdles at the Diamond League Meeting in Silesia.
Meanwhile, Duplantis ran his last 100m in 2018 in his final year of high school in the US, where he clocked 10.57 seconds.
