The Algerian had no equal in Monaco on Friday as displayed why he could be the man to lower David Rudisha’s record, while Canada's Marco Arop was engulfed in a dissapointing finish.
Algeria’s Djamel Sedjati continue to show why he could be the man to break David Rudisha’s world record when he lowered his personal best yet again at the Monaco Dimond League on Friday.
Sedjati ran 1:41.46 to lower the 1:41.56 that he managed in Paris last week as he won the race by a large margin.
The race was billed as a battle between Sedjati, Frenchman Gabriel Tual and world champion Marco Arop of Canada but the two could not match the pace if the Algerian in Monaco when it mattered most.

Marco Arop believes David Rudisha's 800m world record is within reach
Marco Arop is confident that David Rudisha's world record will go down soon, owing to the current crop of 800m runners.
Sedjati took command of the race in the final 200m and looked back to claim victory ahead of Spaniard Mohamed Attaoui (1:42.04) while Tual was third in 1:42.10 as Kenya’s Aaron Kemei finished fourth in 1:42.13.
Arop, meanwhile, faded to sixth place in 1:42.93 in what was a disappointing outing just over two weeks to the Paris Olympics.
