The maestro of miles is aiming to make history at the Berlin Marathon 2023.
He has been selected to compete in the 1500m race alongside 2019 World 1500m champion Timothy Cheruiyot and World Under-20 1500m champion Reynold Cheruiyot.
“We have to work together if we want to do well. If we work together, each of us shall get a medal,” Kipsang said.
He added that making it to the Kenyan team was a surprise to him since he was not in his best shape yet. He noted that implementing his tactic of running at the front was a great plan and it worked out well for him.
At the time, he also promised to work hard in order to be in good shape so he can bring home a decent performance.

He said: “I was anticipating a tough race and I knew it would be difficult so I chose to stick with the leading pack because I knew if I stay at the back, I would not be able to manage a podium finish. I wasn’t in my best shape but I am going to work to become better.
"At the moment, I am just working hard in order to get back to my normal shape. I would request my fans to continue praying for me and encouraging me.
