Udodi Onwuzurike, Godson Brume, and Alaba Akintola, will compete in the same semifinal race at the NCAA Championships.
Nigeria's trio of Udodi Onwuzurike, Godson Brume, and Alaba Akintola will face off in the same race at the NCAA Championships.
The championship is set to take place at the University of Texas, Austin from June 7 -10, and will have the Nigerian speedsters race in the same semifinal heat for a spot in the final.
They have been placed in semifinal 3, which has Onwuzurike with the fastest time of 9.92s clocked two weeks ago at the West Preliminaries.
Brume has the second-fastest time of a windy 9.94s set at the East Preliminaries, where he finished ahead of Akintola, who clocked 10.08s to qualify.
The trio will be gunning for the top two automatic qualifying spots for the final, which is like a pre-final race that can have all three at the Nigerian Trials.
However, they will face tough opposition in Brandon Hicklin (9.96s), Rodney Heath (9.99s), Micah Williams (10.04s), Shawn Maswanganyi (10.05s), and Nolton Shelvin (10.13s).
