Sha'Carri Richardson has revealed her favourite snack which has several health benefits and maybe you should also try it out.

Reigning world 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson is one of the most accomplished track and field athletes who is only but just getting started.

Being an athlete who wants to achieve great milestones has forced Richardson maintain a strict diet and even her snacks have to be worth the risk.

From the look of things, she does not have cheat days since she revealed her favourite snack and this will not get her into trouble with her coach Dennis Mitchell.

The Olympic 100m silver medallist is a fan of nuts and some almonds and she has proven to her fans of the much discipline she possesses. Nut are undoubtedly a healthy option, no matter the type since they are bound to be packed with protein and fiber.

The nutrients are great for athletes since snacks are light and could be take in between training. They have the ability to keep an athlete satisfied. The can also help in weight management, thanks to their nutrients that lower inflammation and also reduce the risk of contracting cancer.

“I keep it very light and straightforward when it comes to snacking,” Richardson said in an interview with Eating Well.

Meanwhile, another celebrity, American dancer and choreographer Derek Hough also expressed his love for nuts, for their health benefits and deliciousness.

In a past interview, he said: “I’ve been really into macadamia nuts, they’re so good and delicious. And I like cashew nuts, but my all-time favorite is almonds.

“Just a handful of almonds is delicious. I just love it and they're so filling.”

Julianne Hough Derek’s sister is a sucker for almonds but she also revealed her love for walnuts and, like her brother, cashews.

Carla Hall, just like Sha’Carri Richardson, has a thing for almonds but she does not mind having a mixed pack of nuts alongside fiber-packed granola.

Other American celebrities also noted that they love apples and peanut butter with pop star Tate McRae and soccer star Kristie Mewis revealing that it is their go to snack.

Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky and World Cup winner Alex Morgan prefer having any fruit but more specifically berries for a healthy snack.
